Fall Sports Begin!

Fall Sports will be in full swing this week for the Mustangs, beginning Tuesday (9/1) with both Girls Volleyball and Girls Tennis hosting home matches at the Ranch. Steinberg Leads New Era of Mustang Football

Mustangs Fall in Quarterfinals

The Rancho Verde Boys Soccer team’s historic season ended Friday afternoon in the CIF Division 2 Quarterfinals.  After rallying to tie the match at both 1-1,and 2-2, the Mustangs fell to Long Beach Jordan by a score of 4-2.  Sophomore Alfredo Moreira scored both goals for Rancho Verde. Boys Soccer Advances

The Rancho Verde Boy Soccer team won their opening round CIF game in dramatic fashion last Friday afternoon, advancing on penalty kicks (5-4).  RVHS dueled Foothill HS to a 1-1 draw at the end of regulation time, and the two teams held each other scoreless during two overtime periods to force the shootout.  All five shooters scored for RVHS

Winter CIF Roundup

Three of Rancho Verde’s Winter Varsity teams advanced to CIF competition this week as a result of top 3 league finishes in the Inland Valley League  The RVHS Girls Soccer team finished 3rd in the IVL with an overall record of 13-7-3 (6-3-1 in the IVL).  The Lady Mustangs will travel to Sage Hill HS today

Wrestlers Advance to CIF

Rancho Verde Boys Wrestling did exceptionally well at Inland Valley League Finals this past weekend, advancing 12 wrestlers to CIF Prelims.  Andrew Ayala (182) and Raul Robles (195) were league champions and Davon Allums (145) took second place. National Signing Day

Four senior Rancho Verde football players signed their National Letters of Intent yesterday in a ceremony held on campus at RVHS.  National Signing Day has become a widely publicized event across the country, and it was certainly a celebratory day for the Mustangs as well.  The PAC 12 Conference signed two Mustangs as Tevita Halalilo

IVL Wednesday Roundup

On the opening day of the Inland Valley League season, Rancho Verde matched up with Eagles from Valley View HS.  The bright spot on Wednesday for the Mustangs was an exciting 2-1 victory for the Boys Soccer team.  RVHS had not beaten Valley View since 2010 in boys soccer, and additionally avenged a loss earlier
