The Rancho Verde Track and Field team will begin their march to state on Saturday, (5/14) at CIF D1 Track and Field Prelims, hosted at Trabucco Hills HS. Mustangs who have advanced to CIF are listed below with their events:

Standout Isaiah Cunningham (11th) currently holds the 3rd fastest time in the state for both the 100 and the 200, and the 4th fastest time in the state this year for the 400. Junior Cameron Samuel clocked the 3rd fastest time in the state this year for the 300 hurdles as well. In the Boys Relays, RVHS ran the 3rd fastest time in the 4×100 this year a few weeks back at the Inland Empire Championships. The Boys 4×400 relay team currently holds the fastest time in the state this year (4th in the country), which they ran at the Mt. SAC Relays in April.
On the Girls team, Rancho Verde Female Athlete of the Year, Destiny Longmire (San Jose State commit), holds the 6th best mark in the state in the Long Jump, and a top 35 time in the 100. The Lady Mustangs have also clocked top 25 times in both the 4×100 and the 4×400 relays.
