Rancho Verde Senior RHP Chris Lincoln signed his National Letter of Intent this week to play baseball for UC Santa Barbara. Lincoln committed to UCSB at the end of his sophomore year and carried through on that commitment this week. As a junior this past season, Lincoln posted a 3.34 ERA while striking out 57 batters in 58 innings pitched. During his sophomore campaign, Lincoln posted a 3.14 ERA while striking out 57 batters in 71 innings.
This past summer Lincoln was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers to participate in the prestigious Area Code Games. The Brewers roster was made up of the best current high school players in Southern California as selected by Major League Baseball scouts and coaches. Additionally, Lincoln is the first RVHS Baseball player to sign a Division 1 NLI in school history. Congratulations to Chris and his family and good luck this season!
