Rancho Verde will open the CIF Football playoffs this Friday (11/14) at 7:00pm, by hosting the Paloma Valley Wildcats.  The Wildcats come into the contest with a record of 6-4 overall and 3-2 in the Sunbelt League (3rd place).  Paloma Valley is coached by former RVHS football coach Bert Esposito and has been putting up big numbers recently (over 38 points per game the last 3 weeks).

The Mustangs finished the regular season at 8-2 and 4-1 in the Inland Valley League (2nd place).  Rancho Verde has been putting some points of their own this year, averaging 48 points per game on the season.

Friday’s games should be even more interesting because of a possible 2nd round rematch between RVHS and Citrus Hill HS if both teams should advance.  The Mustangs bested the Hawks in a tight 30-27 game in the season opener for both teams.
