Anthony Gabriel MonterolaAnthony Gabriel Monterola
Class of 2013

As a Mustang, Gabriel ran varsity for four years. His fastest time for the 3 mile was a time of 16:34 at the Inland Empire Challenge. During his senior year he led the team as captain.

Gabriel accepted a scholarship to run Cross Country at San Diego Christian College. He is studying kinesiology and hopes to become an athletic trainer or a physical education teacher so that one day he may coach other athletes. Although he has graduated from Rancho, Gabriel volunteers in his free time to the team as an Assistant Coach.


Arianna Celis - CSUBArianna Celis
Class of 2007

As a Mustang, Arianna was a member of the Cross Country team from 2004 to 2007. She earned her PR at the Woodbridge Invitational with a time of 20:30 in her senior year. While Arianna was a member of the team, she also earned the team MVP award and was named All–Inland Valley League in cross country as a senior. Arianna also excelled in track, she ran the 1600m with a time of 5:56.

After high school, Arianna continued her career in athletics, and studied Chemistry at Riverside Community College.. At RCC she ran cross country and track. She earned CCCAA All-State honors for the 1500m in 2008 and 2009. She then accepted an athletic scholarship at Cal State Bakersfield. where she became the record holder in the 1500m with a time of 4:26, and the No.3 place holder in the 800m with a time of 2:11. Arianna graduated with a degree in Biochemistry in 2011 and went on to run indoor Track and Field at Cal State LA., while she pursued her Master’s Degree. She now lives in Bozeman, Montana where she is a Biochemistry PhD student at Montana State University.. She is part of the great running community in Bozeman and continues to compete in the 5k and 10k distances.

Class of 2006

As a Mustang, Gary was a member of the Cross Country team from 2002 to 2005. He earned his PR at the Dana Hills Invitational with a time of 15:34 in his junior year. His PR remains as the school record for the 3 mile. Gary also excelled in track, which he holds the school record for the 2 mile with a time of 9:55.

After high school, Gary did not accept a scholarship  for athletics, and studied bioengineering at the University of California Riverside.. He was drawn back to the sport his junior year at UCR, making the cross country team as a walk-on. He ran the 5 mile with a time of 28:42. Gary graduated with a degree in bioengineering in 2010. He now resides in San Jacinto with his wife and daughter. He returns to meets to offer his wisdom to the coaches and runners alike.

Ana MendozaAna Mendoza
Class of 2005

As a Mustang. Ana was a member of the Cross Country team from 2001-2005. She earned her PR at Dana Hills Invitational with a time of 17:51 in her senior year. Her PR remains as the school record for the 3 mile. Ana also excelled in track, which she holds the record for the 2 mile with a time of 12:04.

After high school, Ana ran cross country and track for RCC.. She attended Cal Baptist University where she ran cross country and track. She accepted scholarships for cross country and track at Cal Baptist. After college Ana become an assistant coach for men and woman’s cross country team for Cal Baptist University. and later joined the Army Reserves. She now lives in Perris, CA. Ana continues to run and is training for the Boston Marathon in 2016. Her current PR for this distance in 3:23.59.
